There is a saying that describes the fortitude of mail carriers which reads “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds.” This statement also describes one of our standout employees at Ithaca College.
John Harris has been with Sodexo since August 2009, and in that time John has proven himself as a dedicated worker loved by his customers and fellow colleagues.
John is absolutely one of our most loyal employees: here no matter what the weather or circumstance, helping fellow employees always, and preparing some of the best food that we offer. John’s personal touch keeps our customers returning for more of the same, again and again.
It’s because of his work ethic combined with several compliments by his customers that John Harris was recently awarded the District Sodexo Experience Award. The Sodexo Experience Award is given to engaged and motivated employees who provide outstanding customer service.
Here is just one of many notes we received about John:
“While John has a very quiet demeanor, he always provides exceptional customer service. In addition to making the best omelets and breakfast sandwiches, John is courteous, conscientious, and goes the extra mile to please customers. He always offers to wrap our meals to keep them warm because he knows we visit from across campus…I wanted to take a moment today to acknowledge John and share, from a customer’s perspective, what a wonderful representative he is to your company.”
John’s nomination was selected from several nominees located throughout New York and I can’t think of anyone who deserved this award more than John. We are privileged to have him on our staff.
