A true community has your back, especially in times of greatest need. Sodexo Campus employee Terri Loomis who proudly served University of Wisconsin – River Falls for 11 years feels that support from her Sodexo community as she faces terminal cancer. Her coworkers admire her and she’s known and loved by many students.
Fellow employees presented her with a gift of $1,416. Terri was diagnosed with endometriosis cancer last year. Despite treatment and a good prognosis, Terri’s cancer returned. This time it was terminal, having spread to her ovaries and lymph nodes.
Terri has been married to her husband John for 20 years. One of their three children, her 16-year-old son, attends high school and also works part time for Sodexo campus dining services. Terri has always wanted to take him to Disneyworld and the check from coworkers was given to help with that expense. Another employee gave Terri a week’s time share at a Florida condo. This gift has meant the world to Terri and her family.
